Robert Stolz (1880-1975)
The Austrian composer began his career in the times of silent movies. Besides a number of waltzes for film scores, that influenced the history of waltz, he composed popular songs and many operettas, and received two Oscar nominations for “Spring Parade” (1940) and “It happened tomorrow” (1944).
Wolfgang Schlögl
"The perfectly recorded samples and the strings’ wonderful gliding, but also Glass & Stones as well as the Mallets collection add another level to my sound design. Together with additional effects, the VSL becomes the primary sound source.
Often, VSL string arrangements become keyboard pads, but their natural attack is retained. An aesthetic of its own is created."
In the guise of I-Wolf, Wolfgang Schlögl a member of the musical collective Sofa Surfers presents his first solo album. With “Soul Strata”, I-Wolf manages the seemingly effortless combination of European electronic culture, transatlantic beat science, and a deep emotional impact a record which re-defines “Soul” for the 21st century.
In April 2004, Wolfgang Schlögl received the Amadeus Music Award in the category “FM4 Alternative Act of the year”.

Mia Zabelka
"My collaboration with VSL is extremely intriguing. As an extreme violinist, it’s the first time that I have the possibility to play together with a virtual orchestra. With my improvisations, I’m overpainting or “scratching” the sound of the VSL orchestra much like Arnulf Rainer paints his pictures.
As a soloist, my wish for the future is to be able to conduct the virtual orchestra with my bow. With a specially designed sensor bow and a computer interface I could, e.g., influence tempo and dynamics with my bowing, or scratch like a DJ."
As an E-Violinist, multimedia artist and curator, Mia Zabelka has made numerous concert appearances and performances in Europe, the USA and the former USSR. She has also performed with other artists such as John Zorn, Eliott Sharp, Wolfgang Mitterer, Fred Frith and Joe Zawinul. From 1996 until 2000 she was the artistic director of the Klangturm St. Pölten, and is the three time winner of the Ars Electronica award along with numerous other national and international awards.
Iris T.
A singer and musician at home in classical and jazz music. Iris T. has performed numerous concerts with Billy Rubin Trio, and has been involved in film and television productions in Austria and abroad.
