When I do changes to my project I like to save before closing. Now this happend:
1: Press cmd+s
2: VEP promts me to enter filename? Common application behavior is to save as the current name.
3. I choose the same name ("Villagetestsept2016decoup") and asks me if I should overwrites the "old" file.
3. It gets saved as a .vep64 file.
4. I close the program and it asks me if I should save the file. To be shure I answer "Yes".
5. Now it saves as "Villagetestsept2016.vesp64" that is the old name I had before decouping the whole project. This new file is 178.8 mb as opposed the "decoup" 14,9.
6. I now have 3 recent files on my hd (see attached image)
This is all very confusing. eirikbj attached the following image(s): Vepfiles.png (71kb) downloaded 0 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

Welcome eirikbj,
There is a *.vep file (one instance = Vienna Ensemble Project)
and a *.vesp file (a server project containing multiple instances).
The VE PRO 6 manual is always a good place to check for such information ("File formats and information display", page 38 ff).
It´s also a good idea to upgrade to the latest version!
Best, Paul
