Kontakt 5 has no PDC in VEP?

I'm new to VEP. When I add a VST instance of Kontakt 5, VEP reports 0 PDC. If I add Kontakt directly to my DAW, it has a 255 sample PDC. Why is it different in VEP?

As a contast, I've loaded u-he Zebra into VEP and it reports 16 samples PDC, which is the same as if I add it directly in the DAW.
