I just upgraded from vienna suite to vienna suite pro (great deal by the way). When I started Sonar the elicenser strated throwing errors for every one of the Vienna Suite Pro Plugins. What is interesting is that they are registered and activated on my key. They work with the standalone version of VEP Pro just not Sonar. Any thoughts?
Ha! I was looking in the right place. I just wasn't looking carefully enough. Thanks!
How do I add a room tone to VEP6/MIR?
I using the latest version of vep6 and I can't seem to find this setting. I've looked the the prefrences/general settings and it's not there. Where is it? I'm having the same problem.
I'm having the same problem. I can't find this setting in General.
How come sometimes the snare ensemble sounds like they are playing flams or multple hits when they are supposed to be playing single hits?
Thanks,
Aric
I recently bought a new computer and am in the process of reinstalling VEP 6. On my old computer I saved all of my matrix presets in a seperate folder on my desktop. I would like to put those same presets on my desktop again but I don't remember how I got VEP 6 to find/see them. How would I do this?
Sorry for being vague, it was a quick post. I was speaking about Vienna Suite plugins.
Does anyone know where all of my presets for my plugins are saved?
I agree about Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio by Mike Senior. The most helpful book I've bought (and I bought plenty!)
So you use this on an individual instrument track or jus the master or both? Also, how do you go about correcting problems? Is it a simple matter of adusting the pan for a certian track or is it more involved?
Hi everyone,
Can someone explain to me what the goniometer does, how to use it, and where to put it in the signal chain?
Got it! Thanks!
Which node do I move? The first one or do I create a new node?
Can time strecthing be used for crescendo patches? I want to stretch a 3 second crescendo to 3.5 seconds. I've watched the tutorial but I'm having trouble making it work.
Thanks everyone!
Dietz,
I understand that mixing is an art and that everybody has their own approach but should I begin by just trying to get the piece sounding as close to what I want with articualtions and CC data before adding any processing as Paulo sugested?
Thanks, I just got Vienna Suite and wasn't sure where to begin. Any other thoughts are welcome.
Thanks!
When should I add all of the instrument effects (EQ, Compression, etc.), before of after all of the articulations and cc data is complete?
I'm looking to create a FP followed by a crescendo by combining articulations. I've tried putting a sFFz patch in slot 1a and a dynamic sustain in slot 2a with no luck. I've tried putting the same patches with sFFz followed by a dynamic sustain in slot 1b with a crossfade and without. Still no luck. Is there a was to do this?
Solved! I was using cc 22 to control the pitch shift when using the tranposition trick to avoid phasing between like samples. I had this set to 127. cc 22 also controls the master attack setting.
I tried everything you suggested with no luck. However I did notice what the problem is but I don't know how to fix it. The problem is that the attack slider in the preformance tab (under advanced options) keeps shooting up to 127 when I start the song causing a really soft attack. This doesn't happen to the first part (which is set to zero). When I reset it back to zero and restart the piece it auto shoots right back to 127. Is there a midi cc number that controls this setting? Perhaps a hidden cc setting in sonar is causing this. Any ideas why this is happening?
Paul, I was able to get everything to work. I had to reinstall everything including midi drivers, finale, sonar and vep. I also had to delete all registry key relating to those programs.
MIchael Hula, am I to understand that VSL is capable of making such incredible software that they are not able to implement any of the sugested solutions instead of assuming that anyone who lost their key is a pirate?
