1. The next version has the ability to run Play VSTs (the way Vienna Ensemble Pro build 4686 does)

2. The ability to take a snapshot of the VST synths, so if my DAW crashes with 'decouple' activated on them, I can restart and load up all my synths again (with last saved version) without having to go in one by one and reloading the multies on my slave machines. (very aggravating and time consuming)

These two things would make life so much better!
Thanks!

1. EW is fixing this, with our cooperation. Unfortunately no estimate can be provided as to when it will be fixed.

2. The upcoming update (any day now) has the ability to forcibly disconnect all or a single instance in case the master host crashes, so you can simply reconnect to the instances again.

Thats good news!
Would be great for PLAY - although its strange that an older build would work and the newer wont - but I'm using 4686 till its fixed
As for the second issue - I found with my DAW - Sonar - sometimes it hangs then crashes when I try to save the project with all the Vienna VST instances going (10X) which is why I put the decouple buttons on. Seems to help most of the time but are still occasional issues. Like if I forget to recouple before closing the project and then I have to manually reload em all.

There is already a public beta of a new PLAY version online. You can try it here:

I haven't myself, cause I have no time right now - anyone tested this?
