Does anybody know how to get EW Play to show up as a plugin? I successfully added NI libraries, but can't with Play. I go into preferences and try adding a VST folder, but I can't even find where Play got installed. I'm using a slave computer running Windows 10, but I'm a bit lost in Windows having been on Apples forever.
Thanks, Aaron

Mine is in C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins and that is where I have set VE Pro 6 to look for it in Options- Preferences-Plugins.

Hi Jay,
Thanks for the response. I can't figure this out. I can navigate to the Play plugin, when I'm in Windows, but it doesn't show up when I navigate to the same folder in VEP 6 - it's as if it is hidden.
In Windows it's at this location: Local Disk (C)>Program Files (x86)>VST Plugins>play_VST.dll.
I have no idea why it wouldn't be there when I navigate to the same VST Plugins folder from within VEP.
Thanks,
Aaron

Okay, thanks to friend Tobias, I got it solved. VEP only shows the folder and not the contents. Plus it's the VST folder in Program Folders without the (x86). I guess that folder is for 32 bit plugins.
Mystery solved.
Thanks,
Aaron

BTW, Play 5.0 is a giant step forward and is working fine in VE Pro 6 for me.

Unfortunately I am not having the same level of success as you Asher. I have two templates: On the 32GB i7 PC I have my HWO loaded into VEP 6 and on the Mac Pro Dual 6-Core 64GB I have Percussion (Some Kontakt 5.6), EW Pianos, EW Symphonic Choirs Platinum and Synths (Absynth5, DIVA, Waves Element, OMni2, Zebra+HZ etc). But I as soon as I change tracks on my 88 track Logic Pro 10.2.4 template to play another part or record, my VEP 6 will crash (15264). There are no crashes on the PC, also with PLAY 5 loaded in.

Sorry to hear that. I can perhaps help you troubleshoot it over Skype but it is a paid service.

Im getting a somewhat simliar problem as the poster above. As soon as I hit play on the trasnport bar my VEPro crashes immediately. I've tried many solutions, and so far the only stable one is removing play from VEPro, which is a terrible solution. Still tinkering over here to try to solve this ...
Will likely go back to PLAY 4 where my template still worked.

I'm afraid I'm seeing similar issues. With Play 5, my template often doesn't complete loading, and the Play load progress bar remains on screen. If I try and do anything to my Play instance within VE Pro, VEP6 crashes.
I was really hoping Play 5 would finally solve the ongoing unhappiness between Play and VEP but I'm afraid it's no better here and possibly worse.

Oh, wow, this morning when I open VE Pro 6 and load the HS stuff and then load the project that connects to it, VE Pro 6 is in fact crashing on the Mac and the crash log says that it is Play 5. Not happening with the PC though. I just sent the crash log to EW. EDIT: I just tried this with the AU instead of the VST formats of Play 5 and it is not crashing.

Could you please send the crash reports?

Mine was more of a hang than a crash (ie. VEP becomes unresponsive, white screen, have to manually force quit the process) - I just checked the crashdump folder and no dump was created. Next time it happens I'll run a manual process dump when it hangs.
