While trying to see if VSL Ensemble 6 would be a good choice for me I have discovered that the Logic X projects created using the demo won't open after the trial period expired. Is there a way to open those projects?

Hello Obfuscation,

That should work without any troubles. Which error message are you getting?

Paul,

Success.

As always, you are too kind to help me so quickly! In this case your reply post had an unexplainable magic effect on this situation. Yesterday my projects wouldn't open. Today I waited much longer for Logic to load and of course as you suggested there wasn't a problem.

What VSL files should I delete to speed up Logic opening projects?

The Logic files are there and only the tracks created with the demo won't sound. Creating a new track with the VSL Instruments replaces the Ensemble/Instument Pro created instrument  and my problem is solved. (The error message said "This plugin is not licensed to run".)

A question: do I need the Ensemble Pro to be able to use the MIR Pro 24?

Again, thanks for your patience and help.  The VSL instruments continue to have a tremendous impact on my work.  I've also explained to my wife how nice the Holiday Vouchers are.

Hello Jesse,

As I wrote in my reply to your support-mail, you can also use MIR PRO 24 with Vienna Ensemble or as a plug-in (check the manuals to find out more, and the overview videos).

I´d replace the VE PRO instances with VE files, and once the VE PRO plug-ins are not part of your song anymore, Logic won´t look for it anymore.

Best,
Paul
