LOGIC presents a lot of tuning parameters and the Vienna Symphonic Library supports them. But in past there existed a big bug, caused by Apple. In the arranger mode all tuning settings worked perfectly and the results have been clearly audible. But when bouncing the files offline, all tuning parameters jumped back to equal temperament at the basis of 440 Hz. This was frustrating.

Now, after seven(!) years Apple has fixed this bug. The tuning site opens when selecting: File/ Project Settings/ Tuning. You will find there means for editing fixed tuning tables (but these are more or less only suitable for historic music with key instruments) and you will find Hermode Tuning, simulating the dynamic tuning behaviour of real orchestras or ensembles with string and wind instruments. I have tested it with actual Pro 6.0.16999 and all tuning parameters (Mastertune/ fixed tuning tables/ Hermode Tuning) operate now perfectly, also when bouncing offline.

At: www.hermode.com

you will find not only information on Hermode Tuning but also on the historic development of western tuning, accompanied by sound examples.

NB: CUBASE also presents Hermode Tuning, but AFAIK Vienna doesn't support these tuning data.
