Is there a way to stop hard drive activity of VEP and make it use RAM instead? Although there is plenty of RAM left VEP keeps reading from my disk during playback which coincides with dropouts.  I am aware that with the Synchron series VSL seem to be fixated on SSDs, but I thought in VEP a sufficient amount of RAM should be enough ...

Hi JGH,

If you are using Synchron Series products on a "normal" 7200 rpm drive, please increase the PRELOAD time to 16384 Samples in your Preferences. That should help a bit.
Also, lesser mics will help to reduce the streaming load.

Ideally, you should get a SSD drive, of course. They are quite affordable by now and definitely worth it!
