Somehow I seem to have unwillingly changed a UI setting in VEPro in one single piece, and I don't know how to change it back. As you can see from the graphic, in this piece for some reason the mixer is hiding behind the instrument. Normally I use the mixer button at the bottom of the screen to bring it up and then the instrument disappears automatically.
How can I set it back to normal behaviour?

I tried that. The instrument goes away for a moment and then comes right back, with the mixer still behind it.
