I am having an issue, with IK Multimedia SampleTank, running in Vienna Ensemble Pro 7.

I have no problems with SampleTank 3, but in version 4; when I go to edit an instrument, the program crashes.

I know that many issues users experience are due to an issue with a plugin, however it is working fine in Cubase 10.5, and I am afraid I may have to migrate over to that program and away from VSL, since there have been quite a few updates to the plugin (ST4) since it was released.

VEP is great because you can have a single instance of instruments, and connect to them without having to load sounds in a project file, i.e., from a DAW, however this situation has been brewing for a while it would seem.

Hi Paul,

There is no message.

If I try to edit an instrument in ST, both the host and plugin disappear.

If I select one of the other editing options, e.g., "Effects Rack"and then go to Edit Instrument, I can briefly see the controls for the instrument but again both the application and plugin vanish, and VEP is immediately removed from the Task Manager.
