Hello Dietz,
does MIR and it’s Icons work with Multitouch-Displays like this one (please see the Link)? I use Windows 10 and want to use Multitouch-Displays from now on. The question is specific about „MULTI“touch = touching f.ex. 2 Icons at the same time.
Thanks in advance.

Hi LAJ,
I have no idea, honestly - but I'll try to find out ASAP.
Thanks for your patience!
PS: ... keep in mind that changing positions in MIR Pro is neither automatable nor a real-time command, so the benefit might be neglectable anyway.

Hello again,
thank you Dietz. These displays are finding their ways in many Studios at the moment and have already many convinced fans. I have to say that I always saw MIR as a Software that „wants to be touched“. And touching „the real thing“ (the Software as it is) is so much more exciting than having a separate touch-app on a tablet for me. Why should you use a „Software for the Software“ ... if you can concentrate on the real thing!
For changing the icons-positions I would use only one finger anyway since the change needs to be calculated. But I was more about using multiple fingers on the Icon-Faders. (And of course multiple fingers on all other faders ... be it the ones of Cubase, the SY-Player or VE Pro.)
No need to investigate this Dietz! I just thought you were curious and tested it already.
Thanks.

I already sent a message to VSL's developers regarding your question. Maybe it'll take them some time to answer. Thanks for your patience!
Personally I made several attempts to like touch-screen based gear in the studio during the last 25 years or so - to no avail, up to now. 8-/ Haptics and tactile feedback are hard to replace ...

Hi Dietz!

Thanks for your enthusiastic feedback, but please - let's stick to English, for the convenience of all fellow forumites. ;-)

"Multi" touch doesn't work as intended, but the workflow with just one finger (non-multi) is still awesome. Vienna Ensemble pro, MIR Pro and the Synchron Player are great to use. Especially with the Synchron Player (zoomed to 125%) or Omnisphere, it is a highlight to operate the many controls and buttons this way.
Also the MIR icon and its fader can be pushed and turned ... as expected ...
Only change request: the zoom function via +/-buttons.
So here comes one last wish for MIR 3D ...
Could the plus and minus buttons to zoom in and out be exchanged for a fader (slide zoom function)? Fans of touch screens will thank you. Users who use a mouse will zoom by means of the mouse wheel anyway. Do you use those +/- buttons for zooming? I have never used them.
Thank you and I wish you a Happy New Year.
I'll make a note, thanks for your input!
Have a great 2021,
