Hi Everybody
I am currently using Mac VEP7 with Finale v26 on an iMac Pro
A few years ago, I upgraded from VEP5 to VEP7
When I try to open an older Finale File created with VEP5, Score Manager tries to open a VEP6 Server, which crashes my Finale file for obvious reasons; (I never had VEP6).
Is there any way to salvage this VEP5 project, or do I need to redo it from scratch. I would think that VSL would have provided a migration path for older projects

Hi David,
That VE Pro 5 project should indeed open with VE Pro 7.
What does it contain? Do you want to send the project to us to check?
Also: Which version of VE Pro are you using? eLicenser or iLok?

The problem was Finale, so I won't bother you with the details.
Also, I was pretty sure you had an upgrade path for older projects, and I found it ...
In the VEP Window, I opened the Instance Menu > Convert Project To Vienna Instruments Pro.
This VEP7 v2.5 provides the Humanize Section, I could not find in older versions
It's been many years now, and I'm still learning every day .......
And the biggest take-away is that VSL is as close to perfect as conceivable !!!!
