My VEP setup has worked fine in two years until maybe a week ago when it was disconnected in my DAW.

(This is what it looked like).

I've had some problems with my IP changing on my main computer. I noticed this cause my TouchOSC on my iPad didn't send any midi, so I had to change IP address in settings on the TouchOSC device for it to work.

My setup consists of one ethernet switch with 1. Wall socket, 2. Main computer (DAW) 3. Slave Computer (VEP Server).

I have been in contact with support and they said they couldn't help me because a have a setup with a ethernet switch between my computers and that their support doesn't cover these types of setups. 

One weird thing I noticed is that if I manually type in the IP address of the slave computer and one of the instances, it connects. But it sounds really bad and stuttering when I play.

Do any of you guys have an idea of what I can do? VSL support can't help me and I'm making a film score for a movie that just hit postproduction! Please help!

Basically what Andreas told me was that Vienna Support couldn't help me with my problem because of my setup. He gave me instructions on how to fix the problem if my setup consisted with one ethernet cable between my two computers.

My setup consists of one ethernet switch so I can have access to my internet aswell (which I think is almost a must). He told my that the support can't help me if I have this kind of setup.

Still this setup has worked flawlessly for a year before this! Also this I've seen many composers use this kind of setup and I don't understand why that might be the problem?

Yes I tried it and it didn't work. I still got no IP adress to show up in the vienna ensemble pro plugin.

The funny thing is that if I manually write the ip adress of the slave it connects but sounds really glitchy and laggy.
