I can get ONLY 16 channels out of using VE Pro 7 with Finale 25. The VE Server has NO WAY to Connect to another Instance.

I open the VE Pro 7 Server, then open Finale 25, and then setup a Finale template with instruments, and then in the VE Pro I setup 16 channels of Vienna SE instruments under an Instance I named 'Winds'. Then in the Finale 'ScoreManager' I select VE Pro for the first instrument, the 'Connect' dialog comes up, I connect 'Winds', and then finish loading the rest of the instruments allowed (16 channels only).

Then in VE Pro 7 I create another Instance and name it 'Brass'. I set the first instrument in it to MIDI prog.2 ch.1. Then in Finale I select the VE Pro on the instrument in Finale, and TRY to change the path to prg.2, ch.1, and Finale automatically resets the Prg. number back to 1. That means prg.1, ch.1 which I ALREADY have under the Winds Instance!

I see NO WAY to Connect both Instances at the same time.

And when I try to override when the server 'Connect' dialog comes up (sometimes) by selecting the 2nd 'Brass' Instance, it automatically disconnects the 'Winds' instance and DUMPS it!

I don't know what happened, back when I was used earlier versions of Finale, and VE Pro 5, I didn't have these kind of problems. The Server dialog for VE Pro 5 was always visible too.

Yeah, one of the other Support members sent me an email to let me know. I had not considered that at all, nor had I read it anywhere, nor on YouTube. As soon as it was mentioned though, I understood. I simply assigned other Instances to the Finale Banks under Devices link.

Of course you can also just use another Bank in Finale to connect to the other instance
