Dear Forum,
at a certain spot in an arrangement I would need pretty high strings playing chords. Can I do it in smart orchestra? Would be glad for a patch representing the full range of a violin section. My range ends at MIDI Note C6

Hi!
The Synchron Player allows you to extend the range of an instrument artificially (up to an octave up and down). But you will have to be careful about existing instrument keyswitches getting in the way.

Dear Andreas,
Glad to hear!
I had difficulties to extend the range due to the implementation of a solo and/or pad, mostly percussion in the orchestral patches. There are no keyswitches in this regard up there, that would matter.
I can understand that in a multi Instrumental tool like Smart ORchestra, that the patches are designed to blend many instruments, of couse. IF there is a chance to individualize and filter out some full range section, would be fine!! I could use my special edition patches, but wanted to dig into Smart ORchestra more deeply, to learn it more.
What is the exact workflow to switch off the percussion or solo division of the upper keys?
How to enable chord playing instead of automated single line constraints (thus muting the previos or simoultaneous pressed key
It happens in an orchestral patch, that voices of a larger chord do not sustain and are not audible any more, when changing the right hand notes over a pedal note for example. There is no hint that CPU is too low or such. Where to look for to avoid that behaviour.

Hi Byxx,
The Smart Orchestra presets are quite complex and well-designed to work how they have been designed. The upper half always plays a legato instrument (monophonic), wile the lower half of the keyboard allows playing chords like pads. You can click on the name of a Legato instrument and change it to "polyphonic" under the Edit view.
