Hi,

First of all let me apologise if this has been covered, but if it has, I can't find it!

From the limited related posts I have found, it appears that VSL's goal is to implement dynamics using specific patches, but as those are a bit thin on the ground in the Horizon libraries I have, I'd still like to be able to use CC11 with sustained notes anyway.

This doesn't appear to be a problem with the Gigastudio version of the Opus libraries but I can't seem to get my setup to respond to CC11 using my side licensed Kontakt 2 version. - (which I much prefer to the GS3 one)

I'm using Sonar 5 PE and although CC7 is recognised whether input is via a physical controller (as on my CME UFCool or if it's drawn in, CC11 is totally ignored.

Is this a Kontakt 2 issue? i.e. Is there an adjustment I have to apply somewhere or has it's use been disabled in some way?

As ever, would be grateful for any help.

Regards,

John

Hi John
This isn't as much an issue as it is the result of deliberate decisions made by different parts involved. NI decided not to treat CC11 in any special way in Kontakt so if you want it on an instrument you have to add it yourself, and VSL apparently didn't think that this was problematic enough to warrant adding it to their instruments themselves (which surprise me a bit).

Here is some info about setting up CC11 yourself. Currently there's no way to add CC11 to many patches at the same time, but I hope that this tool will provide some kind of batch-processing once it's released. I hope this helps.

Regards,
Nils

Many thanks for your ultra rapid response Nils - as ever! (be careful....I'm going to come to expect it!! [Wink] )

I don't understand why CC11's not implemented as a matter of course either - it may be "cheating" but it's usually effective and really quite indispensible in my opinion.

I'll give your links a whirl later this evening.

Best,

John
