Hello all!

I just ordered Epic Horns as my first VSL product! I'll be using it with the EXS in Logic Pro 7 on a Mac Pro.

My newbie question is this:

Once I register it and download the Performance Tool for the EXS, will that same performance tool work with all future Horizon series packages I purchase later? Or do I have to download specific tools for each package in order to do alternation and such? I ask because I plan to get Opus 2, Concert Guitar, Overdrive, Mallets and Vienna Harps in the near future and I just wanted to know what to expect.

Please forgive me if that seems like a dumb question, but quite frankly, with the wealth of options and choices in the VSL, it can be quite overwhelming and confusing at times. I have searched the forums and read the faqs but I couldn't find an exact answer.

Thanks.

welcome doubleobuddha,
as often the answer is: it depends Wink
in detail: if you are still on OS 9 there are different versions, for OS X there is only one. but you should register all libraries you have because there are downloads only available if a user has registered the respective product (to add: for the respective platform)

Thanks for the reply, Christian.

I am on OS X 10.4.8, so there is only one Performance Tool then.

OK, just for my knowledge, what type of downloads other than the tool are there for the Horizon series sets?

Thanx.

"A certain background"?

No background, Christian; just curious.

This is my first foray into orchestral libraries. I actually put off buying into VSL before because I was simply confused by all the options. I finally settled on Epic Horns because I just love the sound of it and I had to have it. However, I'm not rolling in cash and i just want to make sure I have all bases covered before I drop additional $ on more sets.

No ulterior motives here, my friend...
