I recently installed the ProEdition on a dedicated drive, complete with instruments in a seperate folder and an alias of that folder in the proper instrument location.

I then ran EXS Manager, the results were startling. It showed that I have large number of incomplete instruments! I understand the clones, since many patches within instrument groups share the same samples...but incomplete instruments?

Since it was a recent purchase, am I correct in assuming the recent patch updates are already on the discs? Even if not, it still wouldn't account for the large number of incomplete instruments.

Any advice would much appreciated.

welcome magpie, just a guess - you extracted the files with stuffit rather than UnRarX ... past stuffit 6.5.1 there have been always various issues resulting in incomplete extraction. sometimes it already helps to verify/repair permissions on your system volume (though i don't have any clue why this should influence a simple extraction - must be related to some temporary files)
and remember: a CRAY is the only computer that runs an endless loop in just four hours ...

Hi Magpie,

As cm said, UnrarX definetely does a better job in unpacking our RAR archives than any version of Stuffit.

Even if you only recently purchased your copy of the Pro Edition, it is very likely that it still comes from the first batch of manufactured DVDs, so please download all the updates available from the User Area of our website.

Please do not hesitate to contact us directly at , we will do our best to answer all questions! Big Smile

Best, Marnix

Thanks for the feedback Marnix and CM, I appreciate your time. I am in the process of reloading them with UnRAR, and it appears to be working well.
