    Hi!

    I just got my first VI. Because I'm still waiting for my external HD for mac I tried installing it on a PC with Logic 5.5.1
    It worked - I couldn`t believe it, I was so happy.
    But when I start Logic today - no VSL anymore. The standalone is running perfectly fine.
    Why is that - any solution to this problem - any idea? I'd love to work on my PC with Logic and VSL from time to time... try things out and such...

    Hi Ralf,

    do you see your Vienna Key containing your licenses in the Syncrosoft LCC? Please make sure that it is directly connected to the computer, a hub might cause problems ....

    Or did the Vienna Instruments disppear in your instruments inside Logic? Then a rescan of your virtual instruments could do the trick as well.

    Thanks for the response.
    The license is fine, it shows up in the Syncrosoft LCC. No Hub used.

    The Vienna Instruments disappeared inside Logic - completely. Even the PlgEnabler a2 doesn't show the VST VSL plugin although inside the emagic folder there is the VstPlugIns folder containing two VSL files.

    Update.
    I killed the VstPlugIns inside Logic and re-installed VI instruments. It's up and running again. Will see if I have to do this everytime I boot my system...

    Are you having any continuing problems using Logic and VSL? I recently bought an Intel MacBookPro 2 Gig Ram and use Logic Pro 7.1 with a Digidesign OO2 interface. At first it worked sporadically, but after laying down 4-5 VSL tracks, there is no playback. I see you use Logic on a PC. Wondering if you've encountered similar problems. I feel like I'm lightyears away from any solutions. Good Luck! Tom23.

    The problem finds itself with the folders to scan. As soon as I change something with the scanned folders something is rewritten in the VSTPlugIn that is contained in Logic and the PlugIn disappeares forever.
    I have do delete the vsl files and reinstall VI, then do a scan and start Logic. Everything works fine then.
    I put five VIs with universal matrix in Logic and no trouble at all.

    I will try Logic and VIs on a MacBoocPro 2 Gig Ram the following weekend. I still use 7.0 though. I don't use Digidesign but a QuataFire Firewire interface.

    Update:
    After every system boot the file Vienna Instruments.cfg in the emagic\\Logic 5\\VstPlugIns folder is 0 kb. I made a backup of the file and copy the backup in this folder before I start Logic. It works...
