  • Kore as a host

Does anyone use Kore as a host for VI on a Mac?I get lot of glitches (no clicks or pops) even with one instance and so little CPU usage.I have no problem with any virtual instruments even Kontakt streaming large files including scripting or key switches so it's doesn't look like a hard drive access problem either.I also notice that the AU version works better than the VST one (less glitches)Also tried audio disabled in Kore and going thru an another sound card with same results...Just wanted to know if someone is using Kore successfully before switching to an another host.Thanks.

    IMac 2Ghz/2Go Ram
    OS 10.4.8
    Kore 1.1.0
Separate FW HD for VI SE

  • I don't think 1.1 is the latest version, and they have been improving Kore's performance over time.

Thanks for replying but yes: 1.1.0.006 is the latest version, in fact the first one that really works with some bugs still but works....

Still the same. But reading other posts on this forum , I think this clicks/pops problem is in fact a general problem with Vienna instruments.Like others using different set up I found that when I play the tracks several times , I get less and less problems.
Otherwise Kore is a great concept, but there are still some bugs ; hopefully with version 2 coming in august we should get rid of these.

  • thx for answer .. give some news sometime .. i'll check that thread
