  • VSL Podcast Show 36

A new show with some great new segments. My first demo with the Vienna Instruments Special Edition. And of course the Interview that I did with Herb Tucmandl. Some thoughts on Controllers and uses with sample libraries although I will do a bigger topic on these later. Some lovely music from Matt Gates, Nick Simpson and Beat Kaufmann.

The Interview will be available for download on it's own very shortly. I just need to upload it so bare with me. As for the lateness of this show. I've been a little under the weather lately and not really had to much enthusiasm. Creating the Podcast is quite intensive and so it's been a while since I've felt like I can talk into the mic. However, I'm glad to say I'm feeling much better now. I put out the Vidcast edition to make up for the shortfall of Audio Podcast shows which I hope you all enjoyed. If you haven't seen it yet then head on over to the Vidcast section of my site. So, enjoy the show.

  • I really enjoyed hearing Herb's interview. Keep up the fine work.

    Best,
    Jay

  • Thanks Hetoreyn and herb for that interesting interview. Next time maybe the entire podcast?

    Matt,

    Very nice piece!

  • Thanks for the nice comments. I realize the interview seemed a little short in comparison to some of the others. This is mainly due to me to wanting to cover old ground with the interview. I thought it best to get Herbs thoughts on the current and possible future state of VSL, and of course his history .. rather than talking too much tech related things.

However you never know .. perhaps when MIR is released or some other VSL products are on the market I will have the chance to interview him again and talk some more in depth about the tech. [:D]

Anyways .. glad you enjoyed the show.

  • I was in Vienna a few months ago and went to see where Beethoven stayed at Heiligenstadt, and someone had graffitied tihs on a nearby wall:

Herb, Dietz, would you like to coness something? [:D]

  • Can't be us - not our neighbourhood, over there! [;)]

Almost all of us live and work southwest from the City-center - apart form Michi Hula, of course, who is on the other side of the Danube river. [H]

  • Thanks Dietz! When I was there I *really* wanted to drop in a box of chocolates for the staff or something as a thank you for my AWESOME Solo Strings, but I was a tourist and couldn't find my way [:O]ops:

Thanks again for your Podcasts, Hetoryn!
