  • Help! After saving, I can't open my personal matrix with VI

After saving, I can't open my personal matrix with VI. My Mac doesn't give me the possibility to open them with Vienna Instruments. The computer gives me always the error number 10841 if I try to open the matrix with VI.

    Help!!

  • error 10841 can be a hint to an invalid character in the filename - in an earlier version of OS X for example the # in filenames was problematic if the following characters represented a hexadecimal number

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Thank you for your answer but the name of my personal matrix is "test". What can I do?

  • ok, this shouldn't be a problem [;)] just for completeness: has the custom data folder read&write permissions and have you already tried to check and if neccessary repair permissions on your system volume (disk utility)?

  • Thank you Christian! [:D]

So, my custom data folder has read&write permissions but I don't know how to repair permissions on my system volume if necessary? Do I go in my folder from the disk utility? Sorry to need more explanations...

  • hi montreamm,

please launch disk utility from HD/Applications/Utilities, select your system volume and click on "repair permissions"
