  • VIP guarantee upgrade question...

    Hello

When owning several Horizon products, how to use them to get a discount on the Pro line products? Your discount calculator doesn't seem to allow for this as it used to?

    Hi Rodney,

you have a license to use our products, you do not own them, just to be clear on the terms [;)]

The Horizon Series products were published after the Pro Edition, there are only a few samples that are contained in both editions (the solo violin and the solo cello from "Solo Strings" Horizon Series and one harp from "Vienna Harps" as well as some samples of "Malletts" and "FX Percussion").

You can check your VIP prices for all purchases that do not have to do with the Vienna instruments here (don´t forget to log in!).

BTW: I have not found any registrations under your name or your email adress, did you register your products under a different name?

    Hope that helps!

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul

    Thanks for your reply.

Ok then, I have a licence to "use" your products (although you do actually use the term "own" in your video when describing the VIP upgrade :wink[:)].

I was under the impression that the Opus bundle was also part of the Horizon series and that the majority of its content is from the Pro Edition?

I'm not interested in Vienna Instruments, I'm interested in upgrading from the Horizon products (Opus bundle and others) to Pro Edition products...as advertised when I bought the Horizon products and as this was a major reason for buying them in the first place.

Regarding my registration, I have not yet registered the products as (to be completely honest) every time you go back on your guarantees it makes me even more hesitant to use them.

Just wondering if it will be possible to upgrade from Horizon to Pro Edition or not? I'm not interested in the VI products, I just want the original upgrade path as guaranteed by you when I bought the Horizon products.

    Just to refresh your memory:

    a) In your original VIP upgrade guarantee you promised that no one would have to (ever) pay for the same samples twice. With the arrival of the VI you threw this guarantee right out the window.

    b) During the sale you had before this "Close Out" sale you said it would be the last major sale...now you have yet another major sale, so this was apparently not true.

    c) Your VIP guarantee promised that the Horizon series products would grant discounts on the Pro Edition products, from what you've told me so far you seem to go back on your word on this as well.

A customer buying products under certain conditions and guarantees and based on official information given will of course expect these to be properly followed by the company in question.

    Thanks in advance

to re-iterate myself from earlier replies ... there are still upgrade paths from first, pro edition as well as from horizon series products which now continue in Vienna Instruments, but an upgrade path can obviously only go from a horizon product to a full library (standard plus extended) of a corresponding Vienna Instruments library - that's the reason discount apply on extended libraries only.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • cm, i don't understand why i would get a discount on the Complete Orchestral Package if i own Opus bundle but didn't get one when i order The Brass & woodwind, can you explain?

  • because Opus is basically an excerpt from the Pro Edition Complete Orchestral Package, so an upgrade path goes from Opus to the COP and not to a single module of the Pro Edition which is also available seperately.

besides that the B&W in the pro edition are also present in the performance set (which you would need for legato instruments), but then the performance set also contains patches from strings ... so it's getting rather complicated ...
there is upgrade path from first edition B&W to pro B&W though.

Thanks Christian. I may need your assistance later cause I'm a bit confuse right now looking at the discount calculator.
