  • SOLO STRINGS FOR PRO ED OWNERS

Herb - could you please review what the VSL policy is for registered owners of the Pro Edition waiting to get the solo viola and solo bass?

    Thanks.

    Peter Alexander

  • Hope this is the information you are searching for:

  • Hi Herb,

Is there an upgrade price for owners of the Pro Edition without the performance set, given that we have already Violin and Cello?

    Craig

  • I'm sorry, no.
There is only one VIP price.
At the moment it is not possible to offer more then two different prices for one product.

[*-)]: Herb, please would you clarify:

Can owners of the only Performance Set from the Pro Edition (which includes Violin & Cello) also upgrade at a VIP price to the Solo Strings? I understand you have to keep pricing as clear as possible, but under the wonderful VSL policy

it would seem this path might be available.

    Thanks

    Nigel

  • Which also would apply for someone having say, Opus... then Buying Solo Strings.. and then wanting to upgrade to Pro. Ed.

Sorry, but I still need a clear answer: here's the query again:

Can owners of just the Pro Edition Performance Set (not CompleteOrchestralPackage) , which includes Violin & Cello, also upgrade at the same VIP price to the Solo Strings? Under the excellentl VSL policy that a customer should not have to pay for an existing sample more than once, it would seem this path should be available.

    Thanks

  • Hello Nigel,

sorry, at the moment we can only offer only one VIP price solution for the solo strings.

    Herb

  • ok, pity, but thanks - that was the information I needed.

    kind regards

    Nigel

  • Sorry, maybe this has already been answerred, but is the folder of VIOLIN and CELLO exactly the same in the PRO EDITION as it is in the SOLO STRINGS? Or is there something slightly different or added?

    Thanks,
    Evan Evans

    Considering the SOLO STRINGS.

  • I was wondering the same as Evans. Just ordered the Solo Strings ans was wondering if I should replace my solo violin and cello folders, or if it is not worth it...

    Thanks,
    Martin

Rainer has answered this question detailed here (Please check the whole thread):

When will the solo viola and bass update ship?

As far as I know the shipping has started.
I personally carried the products into ILIO's stockroom shortly after NAMM.

    Herb

  • Herb carrried them personally to the stockroom?

This guy never stops! He's a maniac. (I'm personally very glad about that...)

  • hmmm...I wonder why I never got my update.... [*-)]

    Herb,

There is too much conflicting information:

    @Another User said:

the contents of these 2 instruments from both editions (pro and horizon solo strings) are completely identical!
Those are two conflicting pieces of information. And the second one was something that was reiterated but in-between he said that they are different.

please Herb, confirm for me what going on here. is there a difference? If one is Horizon legato and the other Pro Legato, what is the difference there? More octaves or something? Better responsiveness?

    Evan Evans

  • It's just a different mapping scheme, because one of the Horizons products needs more than 4 octaves playrange (Overdrive).
The algorythm is the same, so there is no difference in performance and functionality. Just choose the right legato mode, that's it.

  • Great. Thanks Herb.
