  • I AM AS POWERFUL AS 50 USERS!!!

According to the latest statistics I have contributed roughly 1/16th of all the posts to this forum. For the 777 users currently signed up, that makes me as powerful as 50 posters!!!!

    Wheeeew! Yeeehah!

  • [quote=evanevans]According to the latest statistics....

Your'e a myth! Your'e a legend! You are as the early morning mist over a very still lake! [8-)]

Incidentally Evan, are you going to NAMM? If you are, can you sort of keep us informed while your'e there (if possible) with things of interest? You know, the sort of stuff we would be interested in re: this forum? [:)]

    All the best

    Paul

  • Congrats Evan! As the chairman of the Double Secret VSL Forum Council, I have the honor of awarding you with our Medal of Conspicuous Posting as well as a complementary copy of Windows XP Pro!
    [[;)]]

  • Depends on the definition of "contributed," I guess. [:)]

  • You got the post numbers right, but you are only as powerful as 1 (one) user. Period. Don't ever overestimate MY power. I am as well a 1/777 as you, hopefully my less than 40 opinions aren't brushed under the red carpet you rolled out for your 800 or something below.

    Thanks.

    evan

the significant thing about your announcement is that it has taken YOU so long to recognize it.

welcome to the world of the rest of us. [[;)]]

    cheers

  • Yes Evan Yes!

You are without a doubt the most powerful, talented, gifted, and creative typist on this entire forum.

Congatulations and keep up the good work. [:)]

  • Looking at it another way, in a room full of 777 people - one person is doing most (1/16) of the talking.

If it were me doing most of the talking, my mother would harshly remind me of my manners.

She would also remind me that it does not make me the most powerful person in the room. [[;)]]

Your Mother is a wise woman...... [:D] If I would be the father, I would add that you not only not be the most powerful, but also that you may look like a fool..... [[[;)]]]

Now, now lads. I think Evan was just having a bit of fun. Look forward to when he gets back from NAMM and gives us the lowdown on things that we'll find useful, I'm sure.

Like Evan said in an earlier thread, part of the orchestra needs to playing all the time, and thats fine by me.

Mind you, a sharp smack on the back of the legs never hurt anyone. [:D]

    Cheers

    Absolutely [:)]

  • [:D]

  • Only a thread about Evan could eclipse the release of Gigastudio 3.0 [[;)]]

  • Actually only as powerful as 48.5625 users [:O]

  • don't believe in a statistic you haven't faked by your own ...
if i take the three top posters as a basis it's 0.88 users
so what i want to say is: everything is relative ....

btw: some time ago several requests have been posted to have the forums moderated better or stronger and my answer has been i don't see a need to do so - well, everything seems to be pretty self regulating, no?

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.

This witty observation made my day. Thanks.

  • "Heat Death" - that is exactly it. A thread seems to have a natural course of life and death and just seems to expire after a certain time. The principle of entropy.

Apparently the same thing is going to happen in a trillion-trillion-trillion (and so on for several hundred repetitions) years to the universe in the Fifth Age - the Dark Era when even the protons decay and the black holes evaporate.
