    [8-)] hello everybody: as a happy VSL user, I wonder, now that you have the best ever created "Orchestral Sample Library", when you will offer the performance tool for the other great platforms such as Kontakt, MachFive, Digital Performer...

    my second question is: Do I need a new keycode for using the Performance Tool on a diferent platform (example, from giga to exs24)...?

    performance tool and other platforms .... at least for kontakt there are still some features missing (keyswitches & modwheel in one patch), machV doesn't stream (as far as i know - any news on that?), and digital performer can create loops, but doesn't load samples in the sense of a library.
    there are two options for the performance tool - to work standalone in the midi chain (windows) or as a plugin (exs on macs), the latter would need a kind of interface in the sampling application

    keycode ... if you talk about the code for your XSkey - you should have received it dec. 20th and jan. 3rd - please send me a note if it didn't arrive

    could you clarify a little bit the kontakt missing features.
    "keyswitches & modwheel in one patch" ?
    Both of these are available in the same instrument file.

    pierre, my state of knowledge is you cannot assign modwheel as a controller if an instrument already uses keyswitches to change articulation (stacc, sfz, ect) - this is subject to change, but not implemented in 1.5

    Kontkat isn't "multi dimentional" or "multi matrix"

    you cant have keyswitches AND modwheel switching affecting the same group of layers.

    for instance, Keyswitches to switch between 3 different lengths of dynamic samples, and modwheel to select crecendo or decrecendo. It cant be done in Kontakt.

    Is NI even considering adding this ability???

    I am less and less satisfied with Logic. Love the exs but logic is not my taste at all.

    Since i am a mac user I would love a Kontakt version of VSL.
    At least a performance legato and reptition tool that would work on a mac so we could do our own importing of vsl into kontakt.

    The power of the next gen G5's makes me drool to have vsl on it. Just not in logic (exs).

    any workaround ideas???
