Now we have the best sounds for orchestra. But now we need a multidimensional space for the instruments sections. Have VSL planned for a custom Impulse Response for the avilable Deconvolutional Reverbs ? Maybe great if we can have the exactly reverb for the inst. sections.

Impulse response for VSL ?

In short: we work on a concept for a new, 3-dimensional convolution engine, specialized for the use with our samples, with own (multi-)impulse responses. We don't plan to support third-party convoluters at this moment.
There have been several threads on this topic in our forum, you could try the "Search" feature for more reading.

You can try the Real Time Room Simulator in either Samplitude or Sequoia. There are quite a few free downloads for Samplitude or Sequoia owners and other responses available for free on the web. There is the new convolution IR from Waves (now shipping) and also Sound Forge 7 now has a convolution reverb as well.
If you're on the Mac using Logic, you have yet another source.

This VST plugin is at least as good as the Waves IR-1, if not better, and it costs about $100:

Really great software, with really low latency.
Forget about Acoustic Mirror from Sonic Foundry/Sony (comes with SoundForge), it is now quite dated and can only be used offline.
For nice impulses check:
http://www.numericalsound.com/purespac.html (great, but quite expensive)
and
http://www.noisevault.com/ (free IR's - the Lexicon PCM90 impulses are quite OK!)

I went to the web site of Voxengo. What's your experience with this plug-in and positioning, say, VSL strings across the stage? Or is this not a possible application of this plug-in?
www.noisevault.com is quite good. I had already downloaded their presets and loaded them into Samplitude, to which I applied some of Beat Kaufman's excellent work. The PCM90 is excellent, as are the free downloads of a TC Electronics unit from www.samplitude.com.
Also for those who have GOS, on the last update, Gary sent out two IR's. I don't know which room they were from, but when I applied Herb's Mozart piece and some work from Beat Kaufman, the resulting sound was quite elegant.

I've been using the Voxengo Pristine Space Plug for a couple of months now as my exclusive source for reverb with VSL. It actually attains a lower latency than Waves IR-1. Aleksey is a brilliant programmer and has been very helpful and fast in ironing out the few bugs. I use it via FX-Teleport in Cubase SX. It's a no-brainer for it's price.
This is holding me over until I hear what the MIR is going to bring! I'm sure I'll continue to use it even after I have MIR...

Hallo Peter
Have also a look to this Web-Site: Some IRs from the Sony DRE 777.
To day I use most time these room-samples with Samplitude.
Try them ... and be also happy!
