  • OT: Microsoft Corporation USES cracks

Well well, now how about that....

The "big f****** brother" MS uses a cracked version of Soundforge 4.5 to make WAV files and ships the results in windows.

Want proof? Open the file in wordpad....

Sound Forge saves the name of the registered user to the IENG ('Engineer') field, which means ...
Microsoft used Radium's distro of Sound Forge 4.5!!! And shipped the proof with Windows.....

  • Microsoft will of course point to subcontractors...

In this case Bill Brown MAY be in big trouble, as he worked on the XP Tour music:

I'm not sure if he only worked on Tour material outside of the shipped software (as in the Tour on Microsoft's site) or if he also provided the actual .Wav files.

I don't have the Tour stuff installed. Is this tag present in all Wave files?

  • In my version XP home SP1...yeah all waves have that tag.... and I do not have soundforge, just in case anyone thinks the wrong way [[;)]]
