  • Opus 2

    Did I miss something?
Today I read about Opus2 in a german musicmagazine.
I didn't find anything about it in here.
    What's it all about?

  • Hello Angel,

No, you didn't miss anything, German Keyboards Magazine jumped the gun and sent out their copies sooner than originally announced. All news will be published on our website soon.

  • Hello All,
It's quite funny over here, everybody was so happy that we're so perfectly in time with our new product and our preparations for Musikmesse Frankfurt and now we have to bring forward everything...
Opus 2 will be up in our Web shop tomorrow, on April 1st. In the meantime, here's the info for you guys:

    OPUS 2 – ORCHESTRA

OPUS 2 expands the potential of OPUS 1 and the FIRST EDITION with additional articulations and further instruments. It also offers bonus files which include basic articulations of instruments taken from other Horizon Series titles, like Solo Strings, Epic Horns, French Oboe, or Woodwind Ensembles.

    Strings
OPUS 2 offers the complete articulation package of Legato Runs (major, harmonic minor, chromatic and whole tone scales), Vienna’s legendary “Flautando Strings”, and the easy-to-use but highly effective “Fast Repetitions”. The strings package is rounded out with a basic set of solo string articulations featuring the most important playing techniques.

    Woodwinds
Since Vienna’s woodwinds’ Performance Legato articulations are especially popular, OPUS 2 offers the complete Performance Legato articulations for bass clarinet and contrabassoon. As requested by many users, looped sustains for all woodwind instruments are provided. A basic set of the Horizon Series’ French Oboe as well as the flute and clarinet ensembles completes the woodwind group.

    Brass
The brass section is enhanced through the inclusion of sordino and stopped playing techniques. Solo trumpet and trumpet ensembles also feature Performance Legato articulations. As a bonus, a basic set of the Horizon Series’ powerful Epic Horns is included.

    Percussion
Apart from additional timpani articulations (tremolo and single note glissandos), the percussion family is stocked with marimba, vibraphone, cencerros, plate bells and waterphone.

  • Now that it very very cool. And very very reasonably priced. I can definitely see acquiring this library soon. I cannot wait to see more details tomorrow.

ON a sidenote, I've been using my bundled VSL sounds from Gigastudio 3 along with Overture and I've been getting wonderful results. Herb and Dietz: no matter the size of format of the library, your sounds are truly excellent. Very excited about Opus 2.

  • OPUS 2 includes 9.3 GB of data on 2 DVD-ROMs and retails for EUR 445. Like all Horizon Series titles, OPUS 2 is available in EXS24, GigaStudio, HALion and Kontakt formats.
Coinciding with the introduction of OPUS 2, the retail price of the most popular title of the Horizon Series, OPUS 1, is now reduced to EUR 845. On top of that, both OPUS libraries will be available at the bundle price of EUR 1,195.

Best wishes, and thank you so much for your continued interest in our sample libraries!
