  • Solo violin: don't want to buy the same samples twice.

    Hey,

If I purchase the Strings Performance Set[Pro Edition] and also the Solo Strings[Horizon series], how many samples am i buying twice?

Is it worth buying the Solo Strings after buying the Performance Set Pro Edition?

    Thanks, Rob.

  • I don't know for sure anymore if there is also a discount if you only purchase Cube or Performance Set of the Pro Edition, and the discount calculator seems not to work right now. However, the upgrade information for solo strings says this:

"If you are a registered user of the PRO EDITION Complete Orchestral Package, you are eligible to purchase the Horizon Series' SOLO STRINGS for the VIP price of US-$ 169.00 / EUR 145.00."

The doubled content if you buy like you said will be the performance files of the solo violin and the solo cello. All other things from Horizon Solo Strings are not contained in the Performance Edition of the Pro Edition.

    Hope this helps,

  • You will save money if you buy and register the Horizon solo strings first and then get the Pro ed. performance set later. Then you will get a discount for the samples you already have. It only works this way round. There is no discount if you buy the Pro ed. performance set before the Horizon solo strings (unless you also buy the Pro ed. string set).

  • Thanks, guys. Very much appreciated.
