Ok all

I thought I would start a poll to see people's reaction (in numbers) to the new pricing. On another topic I suggested that the VIP price should be the total price of the Symphonic Cube - whatever libraries we have already purchased. Which seems right and fair....

e.g.
VI Symphonic Cube is £6137
- PRO Edition £3660*
- Chamber Strings £544
- Epic Horns £237

Total upgrade price = £1696

Therefore the poll is who would sign up (today) with their credit card if this offer was made to VIPers.

Yes I would. Because in my view VSL is the no. 1 player on the field. That does not mean that I think its handled properbly though. I still think us ProEd+Hor owners have gotten a tough deal.

As I meantioned in another thread. It depends alot on what the extended package offers - and I hope its alot. As the VIP scheme is made now you HAVE to upgrade to Extended to have any kind of advantage. So extended really needs to rock.

your poll doesn't make sense it says no - the current deal is fine an no - i will buy it all three options say yes I will buy it regardless of the fact the 2nd to start with no.

This poll doesn't mention the VIP for extended unless it's meaning VIP for both Standard and Extended?

I understand and basically agree with what you are trying to say but IMO the wording of your poll doesn't quite say it clearly. If I understand you coreectly, the question is:

Would you sign up today if the deal was restructured in the way you suggest?

Well, of course, everyone wants to pay less if they can so we will all agree that this is a better price. I assume that's why you made the question about signing up today rather than is the price fair. But written this way the question is loaded in favor of only one answer. No one is going to say no, I would rather pay a higher price. I also suspect that you are right in that, if a short term offer was made available of the type you suggested there would be a lot of people who would sign up quickly in order to get that price. So your concept and the idea of a poll makes sense but I would suggest you reconsider the way you structured it. I don't think you want to be accused of the same sort of obfuscation or manipulation that you are polling against.

Be well,

Poppa

Ok, I can't seem to edit the poll now, I was assuming that people would want to buy the product - I maybe should have added a 4- No I'll not buy the product at all option.

Of course everyone would like something for less. So perhaps if we understand point 1 to be "Yes I will only buy the product at a lower price - the current offering is not suitable"

Point 2- I think the current offering is fair so there's no need to offer a lower price

Point 3 - No, I don't care about any deal I have plenty of money and will buy VI no matter what

Its been a long day.... Surpriseops:

I maintain a similar bulletin board to this one, and here's the info from the phpBB FAQ:

How do I edit or delete a poll?
As with posts, polls can only be edited by the original poster, a moderator, or board administrator. To edit a poll, click the first post in the topic, which always has the poll associated with it. If no one has cast a vote then users can delete the poll or edit any poll option. However, if people have already placed votes only moderators or administrators can edit or delete it; this is to prevent people rigging polls by changing options mid-way through a poll.

So, you can ask one of the VSL mods to change the poll if you like...

The revolt is dying....So much for getting a lower price Sad Crying . We can complain but will it matter guys since the price is already set in stone so to speak? I don't know. VSL definitely has heard us but nothing has changed enough for them to respond...unless of course they are taking a little "longer" with that discount calculator Wink. I can hope but in this case hope is turning into hopeless and it's a shame because the product is absolutely fantastic and ground breaking but even so I can't most likely afford it with the current plan of pricing....I was counting on the VIP for standard or at least the 35% off for SC.

If enough people don't buy something (a home, a boat, a Suv or a hi-tech fishing lure), investors will surrender.

The law of offer and demand still works, even for the diehard investor.

It's cruel, but this is our (and their) fate.
