    I would like to know please which version of the Syncrosoft is fine, is the latest version Ok to use? 5.2.20.1? on PPC G5 2.7 dual. I am about to load Appassionata Strings. Is it correct that the LCC needs to be the same as the offline computer as the online computer, correct? Thanks in advance!

     Hi Joseph,

    it´s always best to have the latest version of the Syncrosoft LCC, version 5.2.20.1 is absolutely OK. 

    The LCC doesn´t necessarily need to be the same on your offline computer as on your online computer, but if the version numbers are too far apart, you might be missing some information on one computer.

    It´s clever to keep your LCC updated, as with every software.

    Are there any known issues with 5.2.22.3 with VE or VI 1.11 or 1.12?

    we didn't notice any issues with newer license control centers since a long time now, 5.2.22.3 on two computers here so far.

     

    again: reboot (if you're on OS X) before updating and check permissions after doing so.

    from time to time syncrosoft is improving the code as such - mostly there are only updates to the license database and you need a newer version to get newer products recognized properly.

    The thing is - we're still using 5.0.4.0 here... it's working okay except that it is slow to load and I remember reading that there was way to improve that. So I'm wondering if there are any advantage from updating to the latest version.

    i don't remember exactly when the significant improvement in speed reading licenses took place - i think is was 5.2.0.something
