  • Christmas for those who've already invested in the Cube?

It seems that, had one simply waited to purchase the Symphonic Cube until now, one would be blessed with two free extended libraries. However, if one expressed one's faith in and support for VSL's products by purchasing the Cube previous to this offer, one does not qualify for any such holiday blessing. Doesn't seem entirely fair. . . . .

  • I second that, Steve. And it was nice to meet you at Alto. Tom

  •  Hi Steve, hi Tom,

hope you liked your little presents at the sessions here in NY [:)], it was great to talk to you!

Of course it would have been an option to have waited. But then again, would you have really liked to wait for the Symphonic Cube?

As veterans, of course you know that we will think of specials for you as well - thereĀ“s a lot to come in the future, and I think that you know Herb by now... [;)]

    All the best,

    Paul

A delight to meet you at Alto.

    Paul:

Great to see you again. Of course I'm happy with my poster - - and understand why it makes sense to offer a holiday special to new customers rather than to those who purchased earlier, but one never loses faith in Santa Claus... In any case, I'm very glad to have been working with the Cube over much of the last year.

Well I bought a Symphonic Cube in the early days and VSL provided free of charge: Appassionata Violins, Soprano Choir, and Konzerthaus Organ all as bonuses (as they did to all early adopters) so compared with the two free extended libraries it certainly stands up to fairness scrutiny. Julian

    Julian:

That's absolutely great for you and other "early adopters!"

However, those who purchased the Cube a little later, when these bonuses were no longer available, find themselves in a slightly different position.

  • This thread reminded me of the free Appassionata Violins offer. I'm a Pro Edition owner but when I bought the Orchestral Strings I VI I forgot I was supposed to get them, and I certainly never saw them in the downloads section of my account (unless I'm looking in the wrong place!).

How do I get hold of them?

    Thanks in advance,

    Martin

  • And I second that also. And thanks for the poster! T.

  • Isn't that a little harsh chaps? VSL rewarded those who pre-ordered or were early adopters of the Cube, which is fair enough, and since then, many if not all of the additionally libraries have been released with offers for Cube owners to get the extended versions either totally free or at a hugely reduced price. Compared to other manufacturers who seem to slash prices at will, I think we've been very well supported.

To put it into perspective, I purchased another library a couple of years ago for something over 3000GBP. Six weeks later it was available for 1800GBP and currently it can be picked up for 600GBP... whereas someone who buys the Cube today pays the same as I did when I pre-ordered it.... sounds a whole lot more fair to me!
