    HI TO ALL

    i am thinking to duy the tc finalizer 96k for mastering(from a friend ,for 600 euros.)

    My question is: is it better to by this or add some more money and buy something like DUENDE or tc power core or a UAD CARD 

    I know that the 96k is only for mastering and not for other effects like the p.core or the uad but is hardware and i think the normal price for a new 96k is 2500euros!!!

    so what do you suggest me to do

    Well .. I think the problem here is that it's totally your choice. This is like choosing a car .. you simply buy what looks and works for you best. I've personally used the finalizer and would jump at the chance to buy one. I know that UAD stuff is good too but it's really down to what you prefer. You have to try them and see for yourself. I can say that the Finalizer is terrific .. sounds great .. and all that .. but saying that doesn't tell you anything useful. Try it before you buy it. .......... However some points to consider. Finalizer is outboard equipment and you would be mastering direct to a CD recorder or other digital source with it. ........ UAD stuff is all internal which means you can still bounce within your machine saving you from having to have good external recording gear.

    I am thinking to buy a new sound card llike lynx aes 16(wihich has only AES/EBU out) ,so the finaliser could be also used as an AD/DA converter.
