Hi all,
Sorry to bother everyone again with problems. I am trying to migrate from PPC to Intel. I haver a new MacPro (January 2008 model with Leopard 10.5.1). I have installed LogicPro 7.1 (not 8!) and that works just fine. I tried to install the Intel performance tool and that was not successful. I installed the most recent version from the website (1.1), I have an XSkey with a permanent authorization and I have the Symphonic Library Pro Edition (the complete one before the 24bit one came out). The XSkey is recognized (I installed the VSL XSkey manager and it clearly says everything is authorized). However when opening an EXS24 instrument and clicking the edit function the VSL menu is not there. Also playing back songs which use EXS24's with Vienna Performance samples loaded, sound horribly wrong, so the performance tool simply is not active.
I am in somewhat of a time problem. Any help as soon as possible would be tremendously appreciated.
Cheers, Bob.

Hi, Logic Pro 7.1 is not compatible with intel. You need an universal binary version of Logic, so 7.2 or higher will work on mac pro.

Hi Kurt,
Thanks for your reply. That is very strange, because 7.1 installed and runs perfectly, I have had no trouble at all except for the performance tool. Although I must admit that I use that MacPro and Logic only as an external sampler and VI player, so I just use the routing and mixer basically. I record neither midi nor audio.
Any idea how I can still get 7.2, because I do not think this was a free upgrade and I never got it?
Cheers, Bob.

That's correct, 7.2 was a paying upgrade. Apple has removed it from the webshop when 8.0 was released. I have no idea how you can get a legal copy of it. Maybe you can ask it at discussions.apple.com or maybe somebody else know it on this forum ?
