  • Can someone suggest me a reverb?

    Hi

New to Vienna Instruments as a whole

System is PC based, running XP 64bit, Vienna Ensemble

Seems that most of the reverbs - Giga pulse, Altiverb - may either not run at all or only run as 32 bit in Xp x64, and so are of no use in VE.

Does any one have a solution - other than a second PC with Xp 32 bit for reverb etc!

Any help would be very much appreciated

    Steve

  • Oh and forgot to mention - using Sibelius 5.1

  • I don't know that program, but if it can take VST plug ins, you can find a good convelution reverb plug-in. Sorry I can't think  of a specific name,... Hmmm...  I know there was one, but I can't remember it. THere are two versions. One is free and the other isn't. If you look on google I'm sure you'll find  something. Sorry I wann't that much help.

  • Whatever happened to Mir?

  • If you're going to run a reverb as an insert in Sibelius, it will have to be a 32bit one anyway, because there is no 64bit version of Sibelius.

Either Frank Mir, former U.F.C. Heavyweight Champion,

     or THIS: http://vsl.co.at/en/65/71/464/299.vsl

  • Thanks for that

For any one who's interested then, I now have Xp x64 running with Sibelius 5, VE (oddly I think in 64 bit - at least according to the task manager proccesses list - but then again I'm no techie!) and Altiverb running in Sibelius. Can't use Altiverb directly in VE, presumably 'cos it is running in 64 bit.

Just in case it  helps anyone else....
