  • Is there a fast way to open and load my 5 Ensemble instances and presets?

    Hi,

I am running 5 instances of Ensemble. Is there a fast way to open and load my 5 Ensemble instances and presets?

At the moment I open an instance of Ensemble and then I open the preset. And I do this 5 times.

Is there a way to open Ensemble and have the preset load automaitically?

Better still is there a way to open all 5 Ensemble instances with preset in one go?

I tried using Digital Performer as a host. I could open one Ensemble and preset but then when I tried to load my next Ensemble and preset it crashed like when it has used all the memory.

    Thanks,

    Dean

  • How about having those 5 (loaded) VE's in a V-rack and saving either the project as a project template or just the V-rack itself so it can be recalled in any project.

I'm sure the presets will load if saved into a project / project template .... I'm pretty sure they will load also into a V-rack alhough I have never tried opening a V-rack with a *preloaded* VE on it before.

If you can do it via V-rack only that would be a time saver because (as you may already know) when a DP project first opens you can't do anything until all plugs and VI's are loaded up. BUT if your project is already open and you then load a VE preset you can go back to DP and work in it while they load up. Admittedly, it's best to only do small easy tasks like renaming tracks etc and not playback or recording!!! but it can be a useful time saver! Otherwise I like to use the time to stretch -  or put the kettle on!
