  • VSL Podcast - Show 49 Interview with Brian Tyler

Hey guys. It's that time again. This show we have the final pieces of the VSL podcast competition .. my apologies to all for taking so long to get this out. A backlog of material to cover and a busy last few months have made it real hard to do it any faster. However, the interview (Part I) with Brian Tyler should make up for it. He's great, and was terrific to chat with .. as you can prolly tell. So please head on over to my website and have a listen to the new show. Or turn on iTunes and update the Podcast feed. I also show a brief demonstration of a piece I made using the VI - Upright bass .. which I bought recently and am loving. Take care all.

  • Wait are you serious you have a interview with Brian Tyler. Man he made the sound track for The Final Cut. One of my favorites. If you have not seen it, you need to check it out. Man looking forward to it. And thanks for all other other Pod cast ,great stuff

  • hehe .. I sure am serious. Yeah Brian's done a LOT of stuff .. and a lot of GOOD stuff too. As I mention in the podcast I became aware of his music in watching an episode of Enterprise and his music really stood out to me. And when I heard he had done AvP: R Well I had to try and contact him. Also a fan of his music for the Dune TV series. It's great when these top composers say yes to an interview cos it makes it easier to get another top composer on the show later .. Joel Goldsmith is incoming soon too. (I sent off the first part of his interviewed to be approved last night). SO although the show is coming out not so often believe me I'm working real hard to get you good content. . I'm only sorry that I haven't been able to do any topics or tutorial type things as a number of you have requested. I do intend to do some of this stuff later, but also I feel I'm not the best teacher in these kind of things .. I'm still learning my craft as some of your are. BUt if anyone out there feels like you do have a technique you'd like to share with everyone, (Like Todd Jones did in show 2 and 4 which was really great), then please put your comments in an audio recording and send it on .. I'd be only too happy to include such tips and things on the show. But yah .. I will be sharing some of my tips and such in coming shows. . Anyways .. hope you all enjoy this months show. Heto
