I just can't figure out how to route the output from Gigastudio 3 into a Cubase SX3 audiotrack.

I just want to be able to press record in Cubase SX3 and get a line down into wav to free some RAM for a project.

To use gigastudios export wav function feels like a stone-age approach...

I run GigaStudio on a seperate PC so I just connect the output of the audiocard in the GigaStudio PC to one of the inputs of the audiocard in my DAW machine. Then I create a VST input in Cubase that I can use for recording an audio track. While playing, you should also check out the different methods of monitoring that are mentioned in the manual, if you also want to here the signal that comes from the GigaStudio machine.

But even then, I prefer an export. Just to be absolutely sure that there is no noise added to the track.

I have never tried to do it when Cubase en GigaStudio are run on the same machine so I can't help you there.
