  • Licensing Problems - Licenses on dongle but no patches available...???

I'm trying to move my SE WW to a different machine and I'm having licensing problems.  Here's a summary of my setup:

    Slave A (strings and brass):

Licenses: SE, SE L2, SE Strings Plus, SE Strings Plus L2, SE Brass Plus, SE Brass Plus L2

Patches missing: all SE Plus patches (i.e. no "advanced" patches appear)

    Slave B (WW):

Licenses: SE WW, SE WW L2, SE WW Plus, SE WW Plus L2

Patches missing: all SE patches (i.e. only the "advanced" patches appear)

So, on the strings/brass machine, I get no Plus patches.  On the WW machine, I get ONLY Plus patches.  But the license control center shows the licenses as I've listed them above.  Also, the directory managers on both PC's are pointing at the right disk locations.

    Any help on this one?

    Thanks,

    rgames

  • You might want to open the directory manager .. clear everything and then add the folders for VI that you need again. Also make sure all your software is upto date.

  • Thanks for the advice - unfortunately I already tried that!  And my software is the most recent for everything.

I could get all the patches when all licenses were on one dongle.  But since I split them up, I've had the problem described above.... weird.

  • OK - explain this:

Obviously a difference of opinion on what licenses are installed...

  • I've had a lot of "fun" with the LCC on my WinXP machine recently, for no apparent reason (but now I think about it it was just after I did a few licence transfers onto a new Viennakey), including missing patches in VE when the LCC showed licences were present, and with licences disappearing from the keys as well. I solved the problem (eventually) by uninstalling, rebooting and re-installing the latest LCC. Daresay this could be your problem too?

Edit - Just to be clear - the culprit in my case was the LCC, and the problem was only solved with an uninstall then re-install, not just an overwrite of the LCC.
