Hello, I have just purchased the Vienna Special Edition and Special Edition Plus bundleto be used with Logic Pro 7 for Mac. Following the instructions I have registered them both and installed them onto a harddrive. However the next step in the instructions is to go into the Directory manager and organise the folders you want to use so as to cut down on loading times etc. However when I do so what I see in my directory manager seems a little different to what I see on the directory manager in the tuition videos. All I see is ;
/Volumes/my hard drive's name
/volumes/my hardrive's name/100 SpecialEdition
/Volumes/my hard drive's name/101 SpecialEditionPlus
and that's it. So I don't see how I can organize it. I checked my hard drive and I noticed that instead of there being things like "violin" etc etc I have the two folders for Special Edition and Plus, and inside just 'specialEdition001.dat' etc
I tried to just go into Logic and see what would happened and at first it started going through a lengthy scanning process which caused the spinning beach ball of death to appear, after a while I did a force quit, now If I try to go into logic it doesn't scan at all, and I cannot see any way of opening Vienna in the Logic arrange window.
So can anyone help me on this? I am very keen to get on with making music and would appreciate any help I receive.
I am using a macbook pro, Logic 7, mac OS X 10.5.4 and a lacie 320 GB hard drive (If that helps)
Thanks in advance,
John
