    Hi,

    I just downloaded a demo license using the Syncrosoft License Control center. (latest version, by the way). Under the section "Collection Demo" I see the license with an expiration date of 03.10.2008.

    I downloaded ViennaEnsembleWIN-3.0-3232.exe from the website and installed it. However, when I try to run the standalone player or try to start the Vienna Ensemble service, it says that "there are no valid licenses to run this software".

    Did I do something wrong?

    Yep, as I said in my post.  [:)] Or well, it was the latest version a week ago, anyway. I'm using version 5.4.8.11.

    I encounter this problem from time to time on my MAC. WHat I need to do is open the "Activity Monitor" and force quit the vsl daemon, unplug and re-plug my dongle. Then all works fine. I am not sure how to accomplish this on the PC however. Jay

    I know you said that, but it doesn't mean that it's true. [;)] Sometimes when you install newer versions of software it leaves things behind of the old version. The only way to be sure is to uninstall the LCC software, re-boot and then make sure that you manually delete any extra bits left behind in the registry. Then re-boot again, install the new LCC.

    I see. However, in this case it was a fresh install. Never had another version of it running.

    It seems that Jay had the right answer. I unplugged my Vienna key and put it back in and now it works.

    However, it seems I have to keep doing this about every time I start my PC. Strange. And annoying.[:^)]
