since Cubase does not support XP 64, I guess there is maybe a compatibility problem.

I have almost same setup like you but WinXP 32 and no problems so far.

I cannot imagine that problem arises from RME itself, since their drivers are very clean.

Especially if you are using Win 64 drivers for RME and have running Cubase with 32 bit mode.

Seems to be screwed at this point.

Maybe you should try XP 32 bit on a second partition for testing purposes and RME 32bit drivers.

EDIT: Be sure not to use 32 Bit drivers on XP 64. This does NOT WORK!.

I have a FF800 and basically the same PC hardware.

I've been using Reaper (the best DAW out there, IMO) and I have ZERO problems to report! Big Smile

There is no problem with Cubase 32bit and XP64, so you can rule that out of the equation.

Other than that, I can't help I'm afraid.
