  • Vienna Ensemble 3 + 2 Together?

Is it possible to run Plugin Vienna Ensemble 3 on a dedicated networked computer, and alongside Vienna Ensemble 2 within the host computer at the same time. (For example in a single cubase project) I'm interested in using 3GB RAM on the Host (VE2) + 3GB RAM on the slave (VE3) with a total of 6GB across the two instances. Is this possible? Or perhaps its more practical to run a 64bit OS on the slave?

    Hi reflekshun,

it´s not possible to run Vienna Ensemble 2 and Vienna Ensemble 3 on one computer at the same time.

But they are identical apart from the network feature in Vienna Ensemle 3, so you can run Vienna Ensemble 3 either as a standalone or as a plug-in on your master computer just fine. Please take a look at our Video Introducing Vienna Ensemble 3, where this scenario is also shown.

Of course a 64 bit Windows slave makes a lot of sense as well. Remember that you cannot use 1 collection (like, in your case, the Special Edition) on 2 computers at the same time - you have purchased one license only!

    Best,

    Paul
