    I have an 8 core Mac with 8 Gig RAM and 2 1-TB external Raid 0 (striped) arrays (one for VSL and the other for Ivory and Omnisphere.) It takes a LONG time for VSL to load. When I run performance monitor, either VSL or Digital Performer 6 (or both) are "not responding". To make matters worse, this happens for every project I open, not just when I first open DP. I'm not talking about a huge number of instruments - no more than 6. Some projects use Kontact 2 (two instruments) and some don't. In the past I had problems with Sonnet Drivers. Any suggestions? (I wonder if Logic 8 has similar issues.)

    Nothing to worry over the "not responding".  It basically means you can't access that application whilst your samples are being loaded.

    As for the speed of loading, it's the same for us all!
