• Vienna Ensemble Instruments and Master Bus disappear

Hi, I'm running into a UI bug with Vienna Ensemble using Logic 8. When I click on Vienna Ensemble and then click on the show server window button, none of my instruments that were there before show: If I previously had master bus enabled, then nothing shows up on either part of the window. If I click "add instrument" then all of my previous instruments show up and a new instrument is added. I can also minimize and then restore the window or maximize and then restore the window to get them to show up, but it's very frustrating because it happens every time I leave the window. I'm using Leopard 10.5.6, Logic 8.0.2, VE 2.0 build 3452. I'm also running into a lot of beachballing and Logic crashing using VE or VI. I'm on an Aluminum intel iMac with 4 GB of ram and VI on an external terabyte drive. I read that updating VI and the License Control Center would help, but it hasn't. I'm only running two presets in VE, but I do have a lot of other EXS instruments running so it could be a memory issue. Thanks, Jordan

  • Hi -

I have exactly the same problem working with DP 6.0.1. I'm using the latest BETA downloads of VE2 and VE3 and have 10GB RAM on same Mac OS 10.5.6.

    Cheers,

    Graham

  • Here too...

    VE2 -3452...

  • Hi,

This is related to a third party software our development team is using to program the UI.

Pressing "esc" once will bring back the missing parts in the left pane.

    best

  • Thanks for the tip Christian. This works, though it stops all of the audio meters in the left pane as well as the master bus mixer from displaying the live audio. I'm finding hitting the green plus Mac OS X button to expand the window, and then hitting it again to restore it a better solution. I'm hoping the VSL developers will just fix this issue. Best, Jordan
