    Will the price of the Vienna Ensemble Pro changes for those who purchase it after its release?

    Hi Hose,

    Yes, the price for the Vienna Ensemble Pro will increase slightly, probably a few weeks after its release. But if you get the Vienna Ensemble 3 now, you'll be eligible for a free upgrade! More details on this are available here (at the very bottom).

    However, until VSL tells us which of the new features will be included with VE2 (I don't need the networking features), some of us don't know whether or not to buy VE3. Any answers yet?

    These main features will be exclusively included in Vienna Ensemble PRO:

    - Third Party VSTi support

    - Preserve function (keep samples loaded while switching projects)

    - Network function

    hmmmm.... oki then might as well, I get it now. And I'll purchase Vienna Suite later this month or begining of next.

    Hello Herb,

    But I am not happy that you give up the idea of providing a "free" plugin along with your libraries.

    (Not that your libraries are what I would consider cheap or even free)

    Really, without "Preserve" VE is not usable as a plugin in practice.

    Looking forward to get hit hard, as it was the case last time I dared to post[:'(]

    After the release of the Vienna Ensemble Pro, there will still be a free version of Vienna Ensemble that won't include the same features of the Pro version of course. Since Herb did not mention the automation feature above, I am assuming that it will be available in the free version aswell. Not everything can be for free of course.[:)]

    One thing I wish from VSL in the future is that, since the VE Pro is now going to be available for 3rd party plugins aswell(which is something I totally dreamed of by the way), lots of users including me, will be throwing away their fxteleport or whatever, and start using VE Pro for all the PCs/Macs in their setup, not on the Vienna PCs/Macs only. One might need more than just 3 licences. I think it would be great, if it is possible for users to purchase additional single licences according to number of workstations one has in their setup, instead of purchasing a set of 3 licences each time.
