  • Tutorial 2009 "Successful Music with VSL Products"

    last edited
    last edited

    Hi all of the family

I'm just writing a new tutorial. It will explain the use of all VSL-Products:

VI, VE, Effect Suite but also different sample-Libraries and their articulation...

The Tutorial 2009 will show you all the necessary tipps and tricks to get the same results as you

have with the demos at VSL. The "musical aim" is to produce such VSL-Demos which will

cover the most of the discussed matters ...

    The tutorial will be for...

    • VSL beginners (Sample Libraries, Vienna Ensemble, Vienna Suite, MIR*,...)
    • VSL users who don't have a lot of practice
    • sample users who want to buy a VSL product
    • VSL users who are interested in a new VSL product
    • ...

If you start with the SE-Library then you will learn how to use it but on the other hand you

will get to know the use of extended articulation, Suite effects and so on as well.

I invite you for visting the currently planned content of the tutorial. (have a look at "Content")

If you are an advanced user: Don't hesitate to give a feedback.

Tell me what you are missing or what you are thinking would be good to know in addition to

    the planned.

Thanks - on behalf of all VSL-beginners/users

    All the best

    Beat Kaufmann

  • I'm happy to help with a smooth English translation.

I think a VSL-oriented tutorial, properly done, would be in serious demand and a real asset to the community.

  • Hi Robert

So I write it in German (my mothertonge) and you translate it?

  • Oh God no! I'm not nearly that good, barely fluent, let alone technical terms!

I mean that, if you wanted, I'd be happy to take your (mostly) english version and make sure that it sounds like an english mother-tongue wrote it. By which I mean take out any grammar errors, keep sentence structure in line with common parlance, etc. Just if you wanted someone to give it a read-through for possible errors, (free of charge, because I got so much from your previous tutorials!)

Either way, you are an inspiration to the best of us Beat - both with your excellent production and with your education.

  • Thanks for your offer and your kind words, my dear Robert!

I've decided now to write the tutorial in German first.

I'm sure there are some happy VSL users this way as well...

After that I'll give the text in an office for translating it into English.

So the release for the English version is a month later... [:S]

Nevertheless, there will be wrong words and grammatical errors - I'm sure. Let's see then.

May be I will ask you for a final check then... [:)]

  • Beat, I've had a lot of respect for you for a few years now. To help you in any way possible (clean you car?) would be the least I could do for all the help you've given this community in the past.

  • Beat,

Any update on a release date for the new tutorials? :)

  • Hello

  • Thanks Beat.  You're a good man and have really given me some valuable information over time.  I have learned a good deal of things from you in this field.  I really look forward to your tutorial.
