    Hey, I don't know if this is a cubase problem, a vsl problem, a kontakt 3 problem, or an east west problem. ok. cubase 5 64-bit. I have a huge vienna template. then i try to load up a new track with kontakt 3. instant freeze. then, this also happens on a totally different file. loaded up some VSL. then i tryed to open an East West PLAY. Instant freeze. Now this doesn't happen if i load either play or kontakt BEFORE I load VSL. Any Ideas?

    I have had a similar problem with the East West PLAY. However, I have not had a problem with the Kontakt 3.5 (I think that's the version). As to workarounds, I would always load an instance of PLAY before opening VSL to make sure this would not be a problem. Never knew when I might to use PLAY in a piece. However, I recently read somewhere in this forum that you could freeze the VSL trax, then load PLAY, then unfreeze the trax. The post said that following this sequence of events would make PLAY work. While not the fix we all want, certainly better than rebuilding existing pieces from scratch, or cut and paste.

    Caveat, I have not tried this yet to confirm that it works. So, if you do please let me know if it worked.
